The room was comfortable, the bed was huge. I got an upgrade to a better room. The host was very friendly and helped me to save a fair bit on my taxi to the airport. The location was great as well as you are walking distance from the city center.

Doc May Villa was wonderful and we would stay there again!

We loved the Location, the room (despite not having a city view), the comfy bed, great shower, Motor scooter rental, and our host Yom. Yom has several pets, yet they will not enter your room. We found them gentle and they did not awaken us. More details: YOM is such a wonderful human! She was so attentive, kind and generous with information and conversations. We stayed on top floor in the "Executive Suite", which is a large bedroom with private bath and draped windows. As AC is not necessary in Da Lat, the large quiet ceiling fan was more than adequate. Breakfast is not provided, but Yom has a few great recommendations and we loved all we visited. You can't go wrong in Da Lat, and don't miss the amazing daytime street market and food vendors on the town center's steps. The night market is mostly clothing and dry goods. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. If you like the smaller friendly Homestay vibe over modern hotels, Doc May Villa will delight you. Just be pet friendly, and a tip: pet the dogs before the cats! --- NOTE: This is the Doc May Villa, NOT Doc May Guest House or Doc May Hotel. Some reviews on the internet have confused this as they share the same base name due to changes in Doc May ownership a few years ago.

Only recommendation is minimal as we lived out of our suitcases: The large wardrobe closet could use some airing out or lavender sachets. Other than that we loved having it and BTW there is a safe inside.

Very Good

Perfect location for the night market and the centre. Lovely rooms and very helpful and friendly receptionist who speaks good english. Highly recommended for a basic homestay and great value for its location.

The windows look out into an internal well, so no views and not a lot of light. You might feel a little enclosed.

Perfectly equiped and clean villa with very kind and best lady owner who is helpfull and willing to solve any problem. The room is spacious with huge bed and extra sofa. Villa is on very good place near night market but in quite street. They have also good scooters for rent.

We spent 3 nights in Da Lat at Doc May Villa Boutique. Yom is a lovely host and will do everything to make sure you are comfortable. We really liked the decoration of the room and the bed was comfortable. The guest house is located in a quiet street but still central, you can reach everything by foot. You can also rent a motorbike and explore around Da Lat.

Very cosy with the kindest hostess

The central location was good. Only a short walk to dining options and to the lake. The hostess is kind and helpful. We had a night bus booked and we were able to relax at the villa and shower before the bus trip. The hostess contacted the bus company to arrange the shuttle bus. She can assist with your booking and transport too. The hostess is a beautiful kind soul -she makes your stay special. The soft bed and nice linen was appreciated as was the good long hot showers! Note that not all rooms have a window. I accidentally booked one without but the hostess just swapped my room for another.

Room can get a bit damp if you don’t open your windows during the day while you are out. No AC to dehumidify the room. Rainy season didn’t help.

very helpful staff, tasteful room, good location. they helped to book bust tickets and gave ideas for tours.

the structure of the sliding door leading to the bathroom had a great amount of dust on it, should be cleaned properly with a vacuum cleaner.other parts of the room were perfectly clean. one of the windows is a shutter window (no glass in it), so mosquitoes can come in which was a problem in the rainy season. we were offered a mosquito net on our third night to solve this issue.
